...few school buildings with them, and the next day the inspector saw nothing but a wreck, and a Headmaster who had thought only of himself and the modern methods he had stood for. In regards to story elements used throughout the piece, it's easy to see that the narrator, though he does not actually take part in the story, sides with the villagers and their predicament from the tone he used in describing the pompous headmaster and his stern refusal to comply with the priest's request. Chinua Achebe writes, "Mr. Obi listened with a satisfied smile on his face. 'The whole purpose of our school,' he said finally, 'is to eradicate just such beliefs as that. Dead men do not require footpaths. The whole idea is just fantastic. Our duty is to teach your children to laugh at such ideas.'"(478). There were two main characters throughout the story that we read the most about: Obi, who can be considered as either a protagonist or antagonist given the side you join when reading the story - And the village priest who can be considered a parallel character to the headmaster's intentions. The key concept of the entire story however, was the path itself: A road to and from the grave for the dearly departed. That was the entire focus of the story and tied the characters together as they formed opinions and, in the village's case, rebelled against Obi's authority. The specific issue raised within this story regarded the customs of the villagers themselves and just how important it meant to......

...Easy Access to Lead Intelligence for Sales -- When Sales works within a CRM that's integrated with your marketing software, they're able to access lead intelligence all from one place. So if you're using, let's say, HubSpot as your marketing software and Salesforce as your CRM, your sales team never has to log out of their CRM to get all the juicy information you have about their leads. They'll also likely have better lead intelligence with a CRM, because not all of the lead intel you gather happens through your marketing software. As others on your sales team talk to and learn more about a lead, they can add information to their contact record in your CRM so that anyone who speaks to them has a complete picture of who that lead is and the personal interactions they've had with others on your team. Better Sales and Marketing (SMarketing) Alignment -- Let's be clear. A CRM does not solve for SMarketing alignment ; but it does enable it. Sales and Marketing both have numbers they need to hit each month, and when both teams work within a CRM that is integrated with your marketing software, it's easy for everyone to quickly assess how each team is progressing with their goals, and identify and remedy problems early on in the month. You can set up real-time reporting that tells anyone in Sales how close Marketing is to hitting its monthly leads goal, and Marketing can see whether Sales is calling those leads filling the pipeline. It's also worth noting that CRMs are used for......

...multiple countries of the world. For example, I’ve tried to convince my parents to allow our family to host a German student, or at least allow me to go overseas. To my surprise, my parents denied both proposals both years. Although our family goes on vacation during the summer, we’ve just been to seven different states, Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic, and The Virgin Islands. We have never been toward Europe or South America. I have still never really gotten a taste of different cultures, or at least as much as I would like. Fortunately enough, during my visit at Ashland University, my guide told me about the study abroad program and how he went through it. The study abroad program is a program that you can partake in during your junior or senior years of your college experience. Those who qualify for this program receive the opportunity to further their education in diverse parts of the world. This was very promising news to me and allowed my parents and I to develop a plan for when I attend college. Almost every college, big or small, has a study abroad program. My course of action will be first to check whether or not the college of my choice has this program. Next, near the end of my sophomore year in school, I will meet with an advisor to be sure I’m eligible for the program. You need excellent grades and attendance in order to be able to pursue studying abroad. I very much plan on doing my absolute best during my college experience. Afterwards, I’ll need to......

They'Re Not Your Husband

...They’re not your husband ”They’re not your husband” is a short story written by Raymond Carver. The story was published in 1973 in a literary magazine, called Chicago Review. The definition of a short story is typically a brief work of literature. The story has no set length and there are often few characters introduced in the story. The short story usually focuses on one plot, one main character, and one central theme. That is the opposite compared to a novel. The short story is characterized by the beginning, where the reader is thrown into the story. This type of introduction we call “in medias res”. This statement is Latin and means "middle of the action.” In all short stories there is an open ending. The open ending is an opened question, which means that you can imagine an ending. In the story ”They’re not your husband”, we have the themes obsession, control, insecurity, selfishness and appearance. Kit Wright writes the poem “Give Up Slimming, Mum” and in the poem we have the opposite theme; appreciation, happiness, accept, unity and presence. Earl and Doreen are the main characters in “They’re not your husband”. They are married but there is a tense atmosphere between them. They do not seem to love each other. There is no connection and no intimacy. Doreen is the hardworking woman. She works as a waitress at a coffee shop, which is open 24 hours a day. She must work late, because when Earl comes to the shop, to get coffee, she askes him about the children. “You......

Developing Your

...Developing Your Skills By Henrietta Allison Based on what I’ve learned about myself in this class some of my strengths are teamwork and leadership. Some of my skills that need improvement are my time management skills and my presentation skills. Strengths | Weakness | Teamwork Skills | Time management | Leadership Skills | Presentation Skills | One skill I would like to improve is my leadership skill. When it comes to being a leader I step in when I need to and take over, but only if I am comfortable with my surroundings. I don’t like how it’s only when I’m familiar with the faces or the surroundings. I want to be a leader no matter my surrounding. Another skill of mines that need improvement is my presentation skill. My presentation skill is completely weak because I am completely shy. No matter how comfortable I am with the people I am presenting in front of, I still cannot reach that comfort zone to be myself and feel free to present. It gets so bad to the point my body start shaking, my hands gets really worm and I start to stutter. For as long as I remember this is how it’s always been for me. If I can overcome this fear of presenting in front of people, it will be a huge accomplishment for me. And a great start to improving my presentation skills. Last but not least would be my time management skills because as I college student I know that’s my biggest weakness, and a weakness that can cost me everything. Such as failing my classes, and even...

They have Medicare and Medicaid reform links; adult protection, nutrition, disabilities, and homeless services. There are a lot of different programs for people of all ages and different conditions including blind and deaf individuals. They don’t specifically have a service for children who get in trouble a lot or act out a lot, but they have counseling programs. This is a good resource to have. They have numbers and names for you to call, and I’m not sure if you can apply for benefits online. I know you can receive help for problems over the phone. I looked everywhere on this website and found that they don’t have a social media presence. All they have is a bunch of numbers for a variety of different services. In their list of services, they actually have a lot of different numbers for adult and child abuse and neglect. Assistance Programs SNAP There......
