1. The software used to target new prospects is a Geo-Mapping Software, they use a design software to design clothing, and an IT software to assist in sales and support their website. They also have a back-end tool for retailers to place orders over the web. The creators use the design software to outline new clothing ideas. The geo-mapping software is used to look for new markets to sell children’s clothing in. The geo-mapping software also allows the company to target new customers. It allows them to see where they are strong and soft in the market. Then, they use that information to target where to promote and sell their product. The websites are used to conduct, promote, and design their business.

2. The IT software allows them to service their customers online without needing a sales rep available at all times. The design software allows Emily and Leigh and easier way to put their designs “on paper” and see the finished product in a more 3D setting. The Geo-Mapping software allows sales reps to find markets that either do not have a children’s clothing outlet or is not over saturated by children’s clothing stores so they are not trying to compete with larger chains (such as Baby Gap, The Children’s Place, Carters, etc.). Geo-mapping is helping the company grow by helping them target new areas they can open stores. The sales reps use the results from the geo-mapping system to find regions that do not currently have a large market of children’s clothing. The results also help them determine the best area to put a new Tea Collection store so that the store will be successful. The geo-mapping is done in layers. Part 2 of Case Study 3 in Acct504

...Part 2 of Case Study 3 in ACCT504 2. What are the three sections of a cash budget, and what is included in each section? The three major sections of a cash budget are cash receipts, cash disbursement, and financing. A cash receipt includes cash collections from customers; sales to customers, collecting on credit sales, interest made, etc. Cash disbursement is considered anything that is expected to be paid; administrative expenses, inventory purchases, taxes, etc. Financing is the part of the cash budget that is needed in case of a cash deficiency. If a cash budget falls short, the company can borrow money to make up for that amount. Repayment of the financing then also includes the interest that needs to be paid on that amount, (Weygandt, Kieso & Kimmel, 2002). 3. Why is a cash budget so vital to a company? A cash budget is a tool that can be used to manage a company’s cash. This budget will help a company stay focus by determining an appropriate budget, and help the company see if they can or cannot afford a new investment; or if and how much of financing may be needed. 4. What are the five basic principles of cash management that a company can follow in order to improve its chances of having adequate cash? The five principles are: Increase the speed of collection on receivables; which means that the company will be able to use those funds quicker. Next, inventory levels should be kept low, which also keeps the cost of storage lower and prevents......

"The success of your whole day depends on your ability to organize, plan, and budget," (Hammond, 2007, para. 1). The stakeholders in a wedding project are numerous. Naturally the bride and groom are the biggest stakeholders. But also included in this list of stakeholders will be the bride and groom's family, members of the wedding party (maid of honor, bridesmaid, best man, and groomsmen), wedding guests, wedding vendors (florist, musicians, caterer, cake maker, clothiers, venue directors), and the officiate. Further, a successful wedding requires the orchestration of many moving parts and the availability of many resources including people, skills, equipment, materials, and working capital. Research shows that the average couple in Beirut, Lebanon will spend $20,940 on a typical wedding. This budget does not include cost for a honeymoon, engagement ring, bridal consultant, or wedding planner. A wedding budget is absolutely essential to planning a wedding and in fact should be one of the very first things that a marrying couple should do, (Callaway, 2007). Further, a typical wedding takes months to plan. There are arrangements to make, reservations to secure, items to order, and logistics to work out. Our happy couple may expect to pay slightly more for their particular wedding since this couple would like to......
