...SDS-PAGE also called sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis is a technique used to separate proteins only by their size. SDS or sodium dodecyl sulfate is a detergent used to denature the proteins; they will unfold and will not have any secondary, tertiary or quaternary structure. Proteins will have a negative charge and they will move down the gel by their molecular weight. PAGE or polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis is a polymer of the neurotoxin acrylamide and a cross-linking agent called bis-acrylamide. Usually APS and TEMED are used as catalysts for the process of cross-linking. There are two different settings of running the polyacrylamide gel, denaturing gel and non-denaturing gel or native gel. Denaturing gel consists of using urea or SDS to denature or unfold proteins and subsequently separate them by their molecular weight. A non-denaturing or native gel is used primarily to analyze the tertiary and quaternary structure of proteins; therefore they do not need to be unfolded. SDS-PAGE is essential in protein analysis in different fields such as forensic, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology and genetics. The SDS-PAGE gel has to be poured in two parts. The first gel that is poured is the resolving gel. This type of gel consists of 3 to 30 % acrylamide thus possessing small pores and a pH of 8.8. The second gel is called the stacking gel and it is poured on top of the resolving gel. Stacking gel has 8 to 12 % acrylamide,......

...These terms signify the relationships between classes. These are the building blocks of object oriented programming and very basic stuff. But still for some, these terms look like Latin and Greek. Just wanted to refresh these terms and explain in simpler terms. Association Association is a relationship between two objects. In other words, association defines the multiplicity between objects. You may be aware of one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-one, many-to-many all these words define an association between objects. Aggregation is a special form of association. Composition is a special form of aggregation. Example: A Student and a Faculty are having an association. Aggregation Aggregation is a special case of association. A directional association between objects. When an object ‘has-a’ another object, then you have got an aggregation between them. Direction between them specified which object contains the other object. Aggregation is also called a “Has-a” relationship. Composition Composition is a special case of aggregation. In a more specific manner, a restricted aggregation is called composition. When an object contains the other object, if the contained object cannot exist without the existence of container object, then it is called composition. Example: A class contains students. A student cannot exist without a class. There exists composition between class and students. Difference between aggregation and composition Composition is more restrictive.......

...One of the most useful and used tags in Html coding is the <p> and </p> tags, which is used to indicate when a paragraph is created in Html. Theses pair of codes are easy to use and they are very versatile in were they are placed when coding. The beginning tag can be placed almost after any closing tag in the body section of the code or can be used on the start of a new line. The closing tag follows after the paragraph has been written and when the programmer wishes to end that paragraph and start a new one or start something else. An example of a proper <p> tag would look like this: <body> <p>This website is brought to you by Tommy and Xaiver. Here we can have a discussion about our top 10 favorite games freely without fears of repercussion. Each week will feature a short discussion about one of our favorite game and the pros and cons of each game.</p> Another useful tag most commonly used are the <ol> and </ol> tags. This tag is used to indicate a list that is either numbered, has bullets, or letters to show that there is some sort of order to the list. The proper way to use these tags is to start on a fresh line with the beginning <ol> tag and in the next line the programmer should start with the <li> or list item tag which indicates the content of the list. After the list is finished the programmer should start with a new line and end the whole list with the closing tag of </ol>. A proper......

...The benefits are: With a dividend payout ratio of 0% the starbucks company wish to invest all the profit into growth and being able to provide “The Starbucks experience” With this focus on growth the company will have an increase in sales and in brand awareness making this brand more popular and attractive to customers and creating some sort of loyalty. With no dividends the shareholders will win with the growth because of the increase in capital value. With higher growth the company will achieve more economies of scale and with globalization they will probably learn and have to adapt their coffees to some cultures thus having in the future the best coffee of each culture available worldwide for example. The dangers are: The growth of the company may decrease it's quality control thus eliminating “The Starbucks experience”, without this differenciating aspect Starbucks may loose it's share to some strong competitors, leading to the erosion of the brand which is really bad. Having no dividends the shareholders might become sceptic about the growth rate and sell their shares. There is another problem, the starbucks coffee are known to be unique each one having it's touch if we focus on growth only we will make starbucks a standardized shop. Since economy is not becoming better and this is a some sort of luxury premium coffee demand will probabily become lower. ...Ever since its inception in Ancient Greece, liberal education has afforded its students a truth for new understanding, that makes them well-rounded citizens. In terms of the American education system when it reached its pinnacle in the 1950s, its course was just as quickly reversed in the 1960s. A major culprit in the degradation of higher learning can be shouldered by Students for Democratic Society(SDS).To understand how these events came to be, we must first look at the values/objective of this very organization that came to be at the turn of the decade in 1960 at University of Michigan and Cornell University. Liberal education gives a liberating and freedom that is meant to be worth to educate the person in order to take part in civic life, as a future citizen. The ASEAN the Association of American Colleges and Universities states that a liberal education is that which liberates the mind from ignorance and cultivate social responsibility. Liberal education, unlike vocation is not to train, but to change people. Liberal education allows the student to learn how to think rather than what to think, to have a philosophical understanding wanting to question the reason of being and teaching. A liberal educated person is one that can think outside the box and question the norms of nature. They are free-thinkers.Failure in the closing of the American mind is the failure to have a basic principle of ideas and classic works that contributes to literature, politics etc to educate......

Thanks to Barack Ohama's health reforms, however, she gets cheaper medicine and cancer tests. "The health-care law is about people like me," Helen R. explains in a new video on a government website. Republicans may deride the health law as "Obamacare." Helen R. prefers to call it "Helencare". Mr Obama's health reform turned two years old on March 23rd. The White House is doing ils best to sell it as a success. The video of Helen R. is one of many. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) releases sunny data almost daily. But the campaign still feels defensive. There are good reasons for that: the law's main provisions will not take effect until 2014, and this anniversary may be its last. Republicans in Congress and on the campaign trail say they will scrap the law at the first opportunity. With an election in November that threat is now real. A more immediate danger looms on March 26th when the fight over the law will reach the Supreme Court. The main question is whether Congress may penalise those who do not buy health insurance, the so-called "individual mandate". But the COUri will consider other questions, too: whether the law coerces states to expand Medicaid; whether the rest of the law can stand if...
