Learning Style Results
Everyone has their own way of learning. When they are put in an environment where they can use their specific learning styles, it tends to be easier on them. When put in an environment where they are not comfortable with the learning styles, it is harder for them to adapt and learn. This paper examines the different types of one learner has been assessed as having.
Results and Reaction
After completing the learning style questionnaire, the learner styles have been assessed. The learner has a more reflective style rather than active. This means that the leaner tends to think things through before jumping in and trying something out. The learner is also more of a sensing learner than an intuitive leaner, meaning that they like learning the facts oppose to discovering new possibilities. The learner has learned they are more likely to learn better with visual objects rather than a verbal conversation or lecture. The last method they were assessed on showed that they were a more sequential learner than a global leaner, meaning they prefer structure and order whereas a global learner jumps around within a structure and will learn by suddenly understanding something. The learner’s reaction to this assessment was good. The learner style they thought would fit them best were the styles that showed as their stronger styles.
Based on the results provided to the learner, an online learning environment would be a suitable way for them to learn. For the learner, the most important learning style for them would be that there is structure to a course. Within an online learning environment, typically most courses provide this structure.

...Learning Style Following a review of the Vark Questionnaire and Analysis, it has been determined that preferred learning style is multimodal. The Multimodal learning preference refers to the utilization of multiple learning strategies which consists of Aural, Visual, Read-Write and kinesthetic learning preferences (ARK). Statistically, 60% of any population is believed to utilize multiple preferences for learning strategy. In utilizing the multimodal style of learning, one is able to use multiple preferences for learning and interaction with others. This means that one has choices of two, three or four modes with which to learn or interact. Due to this flexible learning style one is able to use whichever mode fits depending on the situation or circumstance. It is often necessary for people with multimodal learning preferences to utilize more than one strategy to learn and communicate when compared to those who use single strategy for learning. Those who use single preference for instance, aural strategy “often get it” by using specific strategies consistent with that single preference. Multimodal learners are often “context specific” when choosing the mode that best fits the need. ...LEARNING STYLE Edith R. Drebot iNTRODUCTION: How does one define the word learning? Is it through a response to others or is it a response to one's own thoughts? Personally, learning comes in all forms from visual to written to experienced or even by reaction. A look at the word defines a processing of data and acceptance of data for usage. From a standpoint of how I personally reviewed Learning Style, my thoughts are incorporated below. Describe your learning style, based on the assessments and readings from this week's materials. I am an intrapersonal, visual, and interpersonal learner. From the time we take our first breath, to the time we die, we are learning. We learn to adapt to the changing world and surrounding us. Learning can be described as a river, when it is flowing it has life in it. However, when it stops life stops with it. We all are made differently and the way we learn or grasp new knowledge is not the same way. The writer had been out of college for a while. He went back to nursing school after ten years of being out of the classroom. The College and education system that the writer grew up focused more on the concept of retaining the material rather than understanding the concept. This foundation of early education affected how the writer learned new concepts. Repetition was always a key for the writer to retain study material, and the author used the same method for nursing school. This however affected when the knowledge learned had to be applied. Writer had to start applying the knowledge learned into practice; simple repetition did not help. Although it helped to memorize key concept and information. ...Learning Styles and Strategies  My learning style is generally well balanced between active, reflective, sensing and intuitive learning. However, I have a more moderate preference toward the visual learning over verbal and the sequential over global learning.  The results of my test did not surprise me. I realize that I comprehend better when shown how to do something over reading directions from a text. I feel the assessment of my test was very valid and the questions that were asked were relative to the process. I believe that my test results were very accurate.  As a learner the instructional strategies that work best for me are the visual along with sequential and I would use these in a classroom with games, graphs, pictures, charts, films, and other tools.  To help students that do not learn in the same way, an instructor must incorporate other strategies in the classroom to accommodate each of the different learning styles. This would include using the reflective learning style by giving the student a chance to think about a subject and come to a conclusion to bring to class a discussion.
