DIODA ZENER

IRs= IRsarcină + IZ = 100 mA + 10 mA = 110 mA.
Tensiunea pe RS este
URs = 12 V – UZ = 12 V – 5.6 V = 6.4 V (Volţi). Unde:
12 V este tensiunea continuă maximă de intrare
5.6 V este tensiunea…...

Anzac Legend

...the fighting started, they found out that in reality, the Gallipoli experience was rough, demanding, and both physically and psychologically damaging, and yet it was from the effects of these very aspects that the Anzac Legend grew. The harshness of the Gallipoli experience easily explains the origin of the Anzac Legend and how it came about - the difficult conditions making the troops learn of values that were essential fighting qualities for being a soldier at Gallipoli. Even before the Australian troops had started fighting at Gallipoli on the 25 April, 1915, it was a hard battle. Along the coast of Gallipoli, there were little places where the boats could land, and when they finally did, Source 1 states that the troops had get past beaches that were tangled with barbed wire; then, as can be seen in Source 2, ascend the steep hills which were mined, rocky and scrub-covered - much different from the "...gentle slopes which they had been briefed to expect" (L7, Source 2). Additionally, the entire time the Australians were subjected to continuous attacks from their enemies - "...snipers deliberately picking off every officer who...lead his men" (LL4-6, Source 4) - which made the treacherous climb up the prohibitive terrain even more difficult. The Anzac Legend was born from the values that all Australian troops displayed while fighting for their country at Gallipoli. Even though the Turkish had won the campaign, it was the values that Australians showed during the time......

League of Nations

...“Examine the reasons why the League of Nations failed to preserve peace.” Weaknesses of the League of Nations The League of Nations came into existence on 10 January 1920 as a result of the First World War (WW1), it was one of Woodrow Wilson's 14 points to create a body that would settle international disputes in ways other than fighting / military action. He wanted to prevent another war like WW1. The main aims of the League of Nations were to maintain peace through collective security and to encourage international co-operation. The league had a number of successes, but a greater number of failures, thus it was not a complete failure in its attempt to preserve peace. The failures of the League of Nations were caused by their great amount of weaknesses. There was a lack of world powers, they lacked military power. They used economic or trade sanctions instead of force, that which they did not have. Their decision making ways were slow which led to a delay in their responses in problems. The leading members in the League of Nations had a greater self-interest for their own countries and their economic growth. In many circumstances the League of Nations was seen as weak and useless. As commonly known, one of its’ greatest weaknesses was the absence of the United States (U.S) despite the fact that it was Wilson, the president of the U.S who initiated the idea; when the American people voted for a policy of isolation, Wilson opted not to join the League of Nations.......

A Legend

...Is it possible to call Michael Jackson a legend by taking an extensive look at the goals he reached throughout his career? Through almost all his life he has been in the public eye. Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. At the young age of four Michael took part in a musical group called the Jackson Five, which consisted of his four older brothers. He became their lead vocalist, imitating the styles of James Brown. Though onstage Michael was seemingly confident, offstage he was introverted and shy. The Jackson Five was signed on to Motown Record at the end of 1968. The song entitled "I Want You Back" became the first of four straight hits. Most of the hits consisted of romance and love-like situations. Even though he hadn't experienced these, he sang them as if he did. This soul based group brought competition in the music industry. As an attempt to keep up with the pace MGM records released the Osmonds in 1970 considered rivals to the Jackson Five. MGM released their 13-year old lead singer Donny Osmond as a solo artist. In return, Motown felt obligated to do the same. Michael's first solo single "Got To Be There" was a big hit not only in the U.S., but also in the U.K.. His rising fame gave Motown an opportunity to make a profit from his popularity. They capitalized on it by pushing hurried album angled toward the teenage audience. Stockpiling on a number of unissued tracks, an album was released in the 1980's off of the success of......

Legend of Sinukuan

... Arayat became my Olympus, the abode of gods and the scene of their thousand and one adventures. Early on, we thrilled to the tale of the Kapampangan sun god Sinukuan who was supposedly imprisoned in a cave sealed with a “white rock” visible on the mountain side. (The “White Rock” became a bastion for Kapampangan revolucionarios in our wars with Spain, America and the Japanese). If Olympus had Vulcan working in the bowels of the mountain, we had our own fabled Sinukuan trapped inside Arayat’s belly. On car rides to Manila, we would actually inspect the white speck on Arayat from afar, although the resolution of the legend was never clear to us. There was also a vague story about an ancient battle between Apung Pinatubu and Apung Sinukuan, with the two giant creatures engaging in a rock-throwing fight that went on for days. Another Sinukuan also figured in a legend that will rival that of Mariang Makiling. Mariang Sinukuan, it is said, was in fact, Maria Makiling’s sister who made Arayat her home. She made the forest primeval thrive with fruit-bearing trees which she cared for daily. A person who eats the juicy fruit is liable to get lost forever in the woods.It is also claimed that one can see from atop the mountain the silhouette of Mariang Sinukuan in quiet repose. My imagination often ran wild when it came to musings about the day when Arayat would blow its top. Would it be something like the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius which swallowed whole towns as recounted in my......

League of Legends

...League of Legends (LoL) is a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games for Microsoft Windows[1] and Mac OS X. It is a free-to-play game supported by micro-transactions and inspired by the mod Defense of the Ancients[2] for the video game Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. In League of Legends, players assume the role of a "champion" with unique abilities and battle against a team of other players or computer-controlled champions. In the most popular game modes, the goal is to destroy the opposing team's "nexus", a building which lies at the heart of a base protected by defensive structures. Each League of Legends game is discrete, with all champions starting off each game fairly weak and progressing by accumulating gold and experience over the course of the game.[3] League of Legends was generally well received at release, and it has grown in popularity in the years since. By July 2012, League of Legends was the most played PC game in North America and Europe in terms of the number of hours played.[4] As of January 2014, over 67 million people play League of Legends per month, 27 million per day, and over 7.5 million concurrently during peak hours.[5] League of Legends has a large, active competitive scene. In North America and Europe, Riot Games organizes the League of Legends Championship Series, which consists of 10[6] professional teams in each continent. Similar regional competitions exist in China, South Korea, Taiwan, and......

Urban Legends

...Urban Legends: How do they work? Urban legends are told every day of the week and for different reasons. Some of the legends tell a story while others are telling the reader about behaviors that might have serious consequences. Some are based on truth, while others are based on fiction. According to author Tom Harris, the definition of an urban legend is “A modern, fictional story, told as truth, which reaches a wide audience by being passed from person to person”. Urban legends come from different sources like the internet, passed from friend to friend or reading it in a book or newspaper. When reading or listening to an urban legend tale, one has to ask 1. Is the source objective or biased 2. Is the source reputable and 3. Is the source sufficiently detailed? The tales over the years have become more elaborate and some parts of the story maybe true but as time goes on, another part of the story gets added making the story more unbelievable. According to author, James M. Henslin states that “urban legends are stories with an ironic twist that sounds realistic but are false”. Urban legends are told to people because of a lesson that needs to be learned or behaviors that need to be corrected. The person who is telling the story might think that by sharing this story, it would help that person because it’s similar in nature; therefore the person speaking is trying to help. In conclusion, urban legends are told for a different reasons and it’s up to the......

League of Legends

...Introduction What is League of Legends? League of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA). A MOBA is a genre of games that are strictly PvP or player vs. player which has strategic and teamwork based elements. MOBAs usually take place in an enclosed map or arena where teams battle for supremacy over objectives using an array of characters. Now enough about what is a MOBA. Let's talk about League of Legends. Body First I will explain the core concepts of a standard game of League of Legends. First you queue into matchmaking and once a game is found a lobby is put together in which the players are split into two teams of five and put into Champion Select where, as described, players start to select "Champions". "Champions" are characters that you play in the game that have 4 active abilities and a passive ability as well as different play styles. There are 6 main play styles or roles which include Tank, Fighter, Assassin, Mage, Marksman, and Support. There are also 4 positions that a Champion can fall into such as top lane, middle lane, bottom lane which consists of two champions, and jungle. After each player has selected a Champion the players are then transported to a magical arena called Summoner's Rift. Summoner's Rift consists of three lanes and a jungle as I previously stated. Top lane is usually played by Fighter or Tanks, Mid Lane has Assassins or Mages, Bot lane is a duo lane that has a pair played by a Marksman and a Support, and Jungle can be played...

Arthurian Legend

...Chloe Monahan Arthurian Legend Reflective Essay After reading about how the Arthurian Legend has evolved through the centuries and is still being studied and talked about today, it is interesting how a legend can be so widely known when people are still debating on whether it is a myth of has some historical truth. Some historians say it is a pure myth with magic and made-up fairytale characters and themes, but some believe that King Arthur might have been a real person. How can it be called a myth if something such as the Arthurian Legend became such a huge part of literature that people were dedicating their lives and jobs to study this myth and find its background? On the other hand, how can something that involves magic and religion, one reality, and one fairytale, in which King Arthur is a believer of both be considered true? In the Legend of King Arthur, the character Lancelot who plays a big part in the poem Lady of Shallot, is one of the most popular characters from the legend was not even introduced into the story until centuries after King Arthur was first written about. Knowing this, it means that people were working on and evolving this myth that allegedly started as just a paragraph for many years. The reason that this myth is said to be carried out this far is because the legend is thought to have been based on a real person. If it was based on a real story, then why would there be a Magician named Merlin who performed tasks that are not reality?......

League of Nations

...Background[edit] The 1864 Geneva Convention, one of the earliest formulations of international law. The concept of a peaceful community of nations had been proposed as far back as 1795, when Immanuel Kant's Perpetual Peace: A Philosophical Sketch[5] outlined the idea of a league of nations to control conflict and promote peace between states.[6] Kant argued for the establishment of a peaceful world community, not in a sense of a global government, but in the hope that each state would declare itself a free state that respects its citizens and welcomes foreign visitors as fellow rational beings, thus promoting peaceful society worldwide.[7] International co-operation to promote collective security originated in the Concert of Europe that developed after the Napoleonic Wars in the 19th century in an attempt to maintain the status quo between European states and so avoid war.[8][9] This period also saw the development of international law, with the first Geneva Conventions establishing laws dealing with humanitarian relief during wartime, and the international Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907 governing rules of war and the peaceful settlement of international disputes.[10][11] The forerunner of the League of Nations, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, was formed by the peace activists William Randal Cremer and Frédéric Passy in 1889. The organisation was international in scope, with a third of the members of parliaments (in the 24 countries that had parliaments) serving as......

To win in this game many things are needed: A cohesive group, outstanding players, good communication, quick reactions and a good attitude. Although a majority of players do not play like this, there is still much fun to be had. Each game lasts anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour depending on yours and the enemy team. In the game your team’s objective is to best the enemy players, destroy the turrets leading up to the base and destroy the enemy nexus. The nexus the source of power in the bases and destruction of it causes a win for the team that destroyed it. The meta is seen as generally the correct way to play, although people can branch off and start their own metas, it’s generally uncommon that they replace the main meta. The current meta is a solo top lane, solo mid, duo bot and a jungler. Each lane is tasked with beating their opponent and collecting...

...Legends of the Fall Introduction Jim Harrison’s Legends of the Fall follows the development of three sons of a Montana rancher, Colonel Ludlow. Ludlow’s disdain for the U.S. government’s treatment of Indians made him move to Montana to carve out his own existence. His wife remains back East and Ludlow raises his three boys, Alfred, Tristan, and Samuel. The action plays out against the Indian Wars and World War I. In the film of Harrison’s novella of the same title, the development of the three boys is comparable to their experience in the novella. In both works, their development revolves around the themes of death and survival, with Tristan discovering one must forge his own meaning of existence in order to survive. Body The three sons of Colonel Ludlow are adept at hunting and have a rapport with Native Americans in both the book and film. Samuel enlists in the War after marrying a woman, though he is a virgin. Alfred and Tristan also enlist. Samuel is killed and Tristan goes mad in his revenge of his brother’s death, scalping numerous Germans and cutting out his brother’s heart to send back home. In his interactions with his family and others and even in death, however, Tristan remains “apart, somehow solitary” (Harrison 276). Like his father, Tristan exhibits distaste over the U.S. Cavalry’s treatment of Indians. In both the film and novella, Tristan is influenced by his father’s treatise on the “Indian question,” and......
