This essay is going to discuss my learning about Interprofessional working (IPW) and Interprofessional education (IPE). Pollard et al., (2010) defined Interprofessional working as “the process where members of different professions and or agencies work together to provide integrated health and or social care for the benefit of service users”. The two day IP conference (2011), was a great opportunity to meet different professionals and agencies from different areas of health and social care profession and share their views and understanding on IP working and IP learning. The Centre for Advancement of Interprofessional Education (CAIPE) has defined IPE as “Interprofessional Education occurs when two or more professions learn with, from and about each other to improve collaboration and the quality of care" (CAIPE, 2002). CAIPE uses the term "Interprofessional education" (IPE) to include all such learning in academic and work based settings before and after qualification, adopting an inclusive view of "professional".
Based on the key themes, we discussed how Interprofessional collaboration can provide best possible care to the service users and analyse where the services are lacking. Through group discussions, key note addresses and seminars, I was able to learn about the communication issues between the health and social care professionals, contrasting professional perspectives and values, ethics within teams and stereotyping, power imbalances and team processes ( Fletcher, 2008).
Improving the quality of communication is now a key priority for health and social care (DoH, 2008). Staffs at all levels are expected to work in partnership with multi-professionals and agencies. Working students can be categorized into two groups: those who primarily identify themselves as students but who work in order to pay the bills, and those who are first and foremost workers who also take some college classes. Almost two-thirds of undergraduates who work consider themselves "students who work"; the other third consider themselves "workers who study." 
In the 1995-96 school year, employed students worked an average of 25 hours per week. Students at four-year colleges are more likely to work a smaller number of hours per week. On average, working college students earn roughly $7.50 per hour. 
The empirical evidence suggests that the effects of working while in college varies by the type of job held (e.g., full-time vs. part-time work) and its relation to the academic environment (e.g., an on-campus vs. an off-campus job). 
Part-time student employment may have beneficial effects: for example, an on-campus research position may spark a student's interest in further academic programs or provide important work experience that will improve future labor market prospects. Learning

...I look forward to being in the learning environment again. I always enjoyed going to class and participating in the lecture. I was usually the person to ask an off the wall question based on what I'd read. My greatest fear is writing a long paper. Its definitely not my strong point. Writing in APA style or MLA is tedious and I'm worried that I won't have something spaced correctly or indented properly. I do realize my fear may be somewhat irrational because the more papers I write the better I will be. I remember when I was a student nurse working on the floor and I had to draw blood by myself. I was afraid I was going to hurt the patient or be unsuccessful and the patient would yell at me. It got so bad that I almost wanted to cry before I went into the room. My hands were shaking and my palms were sweaty. The RN I was working under went into the room with me and walked me through the procedure. After I put the tourniquet on and drew the blood, I almost felt like passing out, but the patient just laid there like nothing happened. This was a crucial learning point in my career. I could be afraid of performing procedures and not being an effective RN or I could prepare myself be proactive and just do it. Its funny because now I'm the IV Superuser. When people are unable to start a line, I'm the one they call. They often ask me, "How did you get so good at this?" I conquered that fear and I didn't let it stop me from being successful....
