Not all phenotypes can be seen. Blood types can only be observed by laboratory techniques. The ability to roll your tongue are phenotype variables. As humans, our shape, size, hair color, eye color, height and so on; are all about phenotype variables. I am able to recognize my family tree of all different phenotype variables, could be passed through genes or caused by environmental factors. Influencing body weight can be directed by genes or by diet, which is the environmental factor. Genotypes are the makeup of the cell where it leads next to the personal expressions, and characteristics; or better known as phenotypes. The blue eyes that are shown in my family tree, more occurring than the brown eyes, is a part of the characteristics. The blonde hair that my grandmother had is the phenotype, or my older brother being left handed is a phenotype. My grandfather’s baby blue eyes would be a trait I would pick out of the three generations. Choosing my grandfather’s blue eyes, I would make a hypothesis using the Punnett square. My grandfather’s parents would have each their own allele, either dominant or recessive. Each square in the Punnett square have a 25 percent chance. If my grandpa’s father had brown eyes, his alleles would be “Bb” for dominant and recessive, or two different alleles. If my grandfather’s mother had blue eyes, the genotypes would be “bb”. Taking those two down, the probability of the offspring would have a 50 percent chance of having brown eyes and blue eyes. My grandfather’s blue eyes, I would predict has a genotype of “BB” for dominant.
Using the scientific method, I would state my problem in the form of a question; I would ask “why does my grandfather have blue eyes?” After knowing what I am after, I would do my background research. Seeing that…...

After somebody has died what will happen to the money and the possessions? Firstly the division of the money and possessions takes place, according to the will. But what if there is now will? If there is a will or not, the possessions and money will not be inherited for free. The inheritance law is a collection of articles, which explains what happens to and with the inheritance of the person who died when there is no will and when there is a will. In this paper two countries will be compared based on their inheritance law. The first country is Belgium, which is part of the EU and has no specific advantages if it comes to being a tax paradise. The other country, which will be used in this research, is Switzerland, which is not part of the EU and is very famous for being a tax paradise. Both countries do have one thing in common: they are both West-European countries. Because Switzerland is a tax paradise it can be assumed that the inheritance law in Switzerland is more favourable than in the Belgium. This statement basically states that in Switzerland you have to pay less inheritance tax, there are better condition if it comes to making wills or not, than in Belgium, which results in a higher inheritance than in Belgium. It is the hereditary material that basically every person has and is found in both the cell nucleus and the mitochondria. Most of a person’s DNA is nuclear DNA because it is found in the nucleus; small portions of DNA can also be found in the mitochondria, giving this type the name mtDNA or mitochondrial DNA. DNA has many properties; one of its most important is that it can copy itself. When this process occurs, the double helix strands of DNA are used as a pattern for replicating the base sequences. This is crucial during cell division due to the imperative need for each new cell to carry a precise copy of the DNA found in the old cell. Adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G), cytosine (C) and uracil (U) are five out of about three billion chemical bases that store DNA’s coded information; over 99% of these bases have been found to be consistent in all people. The sequence of the bases is extremely important because the order that they are found in, reveals the information necessary and accessible for creating and upholding an organism. ...This summer, my co-counsel and I filed a cert petition in a pro bono case on behalf of a criminal defendant named Manuel Arzola. The case, Arzola v. Massachusetts, raises this question: Whether a Fourth Amendment “search” occurs when government agents remove blood from a person’s lawfully-seized clothing and conduct a DNA test that generates a DNA identity profile. The petition explains: When the police lawfully seize a bloody article of clothing during a criminal investigation, they may wish to run a DNA test on the blood. DNA testing can reveal the DNA profile of the person whose blood was found on the clothing. The police can then try to match that DNA profile with profiles from other samples to prove identity. Lower courts have divided on whether the practice of removing blood from lawfully-seized clothing and testing it to obtain a DNA profile is a Fourth Amendment “search” of the owner’s effects. The Fourth Circuit has held that it is a search. The Maryland Court of Appeals (the state’s highest court) has disagreed. A male has an X and Y chromosome, whereas a female has two X chromosomes. The sex of an offspring is determined by whether the sperm cell that fertilizes the egg is made up of an X or a Y chromosome; ultimately the male is the determining factor of the sex of the offspring. Even though the Y chromosome determines if the offspring will be male, the X chromosome has genes that control certain human characters; these genes are called sex-linked genes because they are linked to a certain sex. There are approximately 1,098 sex-linked genes that code unusual inheritance patterns other than the female sex trait. Some of these sex-linked genes carry unusual inheritance such as color blindness, Duchenne muscular dystrophy and hemophilia. (O’Neil, 2012). In the case of the recessive mutation that causes hemophilia, a female has to be the carrier of the mutated allele, since she has the X chromosomes only. If the female carrier of the disease mates with a male who has hemophilia (XhY), there would be a one-quarter chance that they would produce a female offspring that has hemophilia (XhXh). The RNA is a messenger for DNA which translates the important data into proteins which then carries out the function it was made to do. It provides the physical traits for the offspring which include eye color, hair color, size, and shape in which they are genotypes. Genotypes interact with our environment and the observations become characteristics of the organism which is defined as phenotypes. Phenotypes produce disorders to their offspring which were carried either dormant or actively in the biological parents. Genotypes can be recessive which makes it hard to pass along to the offspring unlike dominate genes. This week we did a family tree and there are plenty of examples in my family tree. Most of us have brown eyes. My mother ended up with blue eyes which is a recessive trait when my grandmother had brown eyes which are a dominant trait.
