In this debate, two parties are arguing whether people are rational and reasons behind. The for side assert that people are rational by first giving the definition in economics of rationality. And the against side attack the point by giving examples and arguments.

Debater from the for side put forward that, in the objective layer, as long as people do a cost-benefit analysis before making decisions, that means people are rational, which means that people do not make decisions out of nothing but after careful thought. In the subjective layer of rationalities, different people make decisions based on their own knowledge and background. And they admit that exist constraints to information that people owned.

Debater from the against side assumes the information that people owns is a circle, where there is only limited information. The real information is a lager circle that contains the limited circle. In this way, there are many limitations of people, and they cannot actually control complete information. Therefore people are not able to make sensible decisions and not rational. They give an example of going to university to show that individuals are irrational.

But according to the for side, it does not take full information for people to be rational. What matters is that if people have the act of thinking and analyzing before taking actions. And we can’t tell that rational or not only depends on decision making process. Additionally, they mention completeness. Because what we want to see is actually what we want to see, and they disagree that it is irrational when CPU makes decisions.

The against side say that people’s decision making process is too easy to be affected by other people. And it is the usual case for people that they can’t be rational for long. The most important thing is that the criteria for rationality is not based on the analysis before…...

2.2 Policemen of the World

...Running Head: 2.2 POLICEMEN OF THE WORLD 1 2.2 Policemen of the World 2.2 POLICEMEN OF THE WORLD 2 Since its creation, the United States of America has continued to grow and find its place in the world. What started as a nation that was quite isolated became a major global economy, and, along with that economic power and the various foreign policies enacted since the Civil War, found itself also serving another role. This role taken on by the United States was that of the “World Police.” This title of the Policemen of the World was first coined with the Spanish American War, and has led to US involvement in foreign conflicts multiple times. These foreign conflicts include the Korean War and both Operation Desert Storm and Operation Desert Shield among other international events. More recently, the United States has been involved with a number of conflicts in the Middle East, such as the Libyan Civil War and the incidents in Iraq. There has been mixed reception of US involvement in these countries, and, while both the United States and United Nations involvement in the Libyan Civil War and the recent intervention in Iraq are important to the ideals of the Four Freedoms, these incidents also show that US involvement can cause situations to escalate further than they may have without our policing force. Both the United States intervention in Iraq, and involvement in Libya are tied in with the United Nations, and, in the case of Iraq, with the United......

...Abstract This report investigates the current state of scanner technology and examines the predicted future advancements of scanners. A brief history of the scanner and its operation is initially outlined. The discussion then focuses on the advantages and limitations of the five main types of scanners in common use today: drum, flatbed, sheet-fed, slide, and hand held scanners. The performance of these scanners is examined in relation to four main criteria: resolution, bit-depth, dynamic range and software. It is concluded that further technological advances in these four areas as well as the deployment of new sensor technology will continue to improve the quality of scanned images. It is also suggested that specialised scanners will increasingly be incorporated into other types of technology such as digital cameras. How to Write Discussion (Bio Lab Report)

...The Discussion should be written after the Results section so that you have a good idea of what the experiment has demonstrated. The discussion section should definitely have a statement of your expected findings (Pechenik, 86). This should include your hypothesis and a brief statement about why these types of results are expected. There should also be a comparison of how your actual results related to your expected findings (Pechenik, 86). Here, you should state whether or not your results supported or didn't support your hypothesis. In addition, the degree to which the evidence supported your hypothesis should be stated. For example, were the results completely supportive, or were there variances? There should be an explanation of unexpected results (Pechenik, 86). When looking for possible explanations, consider the following: Was the equipment used adequate for the task? Was the experimental design valid? Were the working assumptions made correct? A common mistake that many writers make is to blame themselves for the unexpected results. Unless you actually made a mistake following the methods of the experiment, and could not go back and correct it, do not make up such errors to explain the variances you observe. Think about and analyze the methods and equipment you used. Could something different have been done to obtain better results? Another possibility to consider is if the experiment was conducted under factors that were considerably different from those......
