Human resources departments are the most effective when they have the proper knowledge and understand state and federal laws that pertain to their employees’ labor rights. Human resources departments also need to contribute a great deal of time and effort in order to avoid any legal complications within the organization. Additionally, human resources departments can intervene between employees and employers when needed by understanding the goals of the organization as well as protecting the welfare of the employees.
